Anderson holiday snap sparks rumour
A report by Football Insider suggested Hammer Felipe Anderson has flown to Italy to engineer a move back to Lazio.
However there doesn’t appear to be any real substance in the report beyond a photo published by the Brazilian midfielder on holiday in Rome with the famous Coliseum in the background.
Premier League players are on holiday at the moment enjoying their three week contracted break.
Players are due to report back for pre-season training on Monday 16th August giving the manager less than four weeks before the new Premier League season starts again on Saturday 12th September.
Anderson spent five years in Italy when he moved to Lazio in 2013 from Brazilian club Santos.
The report claims Anderson’s representatives are holding preliminary discussions with Lazio chiefs over a potential move this summer but that speculation appears to be build largely on his holiday snap.
Perhaps some wishful thinking on the part of the writer.
David Moyes looks certain to take up the one year option of Robert Snodgrass’ current contract when it comes to an end next summer.
Snoddy missed the last part of the campaign following a back problem but returned to training as the club escaped relegation and is now fully recovered from his problem.
Moyes is a big admirer of his fellow Scot and sees him in Pablo Zabaleta terms – as a player who always shows great energy and a fine dressing room influence.
And although he will be entering his 34th year during the option year he is a player who keeps himself very fit and can supply the endergy of which the manager so approves.
As reported yesterday the club has Mikey Antonio and Lukasz Fabianski also coming out of contract but the 10 goal seasonal resumption hero is nailed on to agree a new two year option although the manager will be looking at goalkeeping options with Fab moving into his 37th year .
Mark Noble and Jack Wilshere also come out of contract in June of next year.

Duffy linked to West Ham as Hughton eyes Bournemouth opportunity
Shane Duffy has been linked with a move away from Brighton in a bid for the Ireland star to get more regular first-team football with West Ham monitoring his position.
And his former manager at Brighton, Chris Hughton, is a candidate for the vacant job at relegated Bournemouth.
Duffy is under contract with Brighton until 2023 but he was a frustrated figure at times last season, starting just 12 Premier League games, and the recent signing of Dutch defender Joel Veltman will add to the competition for places.
Brighton have not formally put Duffy up for sale but they have suggested that some players will be available on loan for next season. But that is unlikely to appeal to the Derryman.

West Ham boss David Moyes was Everton manager when Duffy made his debut for the Toffees as a 17-year-old and the pair have a good working relationship. Moyes has been promised funds in the transfer market, with even more cash available to spend if West Ham sell Declan Rice during this transfer window.

West Ham started contacts to sign winger – Club demanding at least €20m
West Ham United are interested in signing Sporting’s Jovane Cabaral, according to claims from the Portuguese media today.
Newspaper A Bola says the Hammers have been impressed with the form shown by the winger at the end of the season, and already made ‘exploratory contacts’ for his transfer.
The Lions know they’ll have to sell some of their players this summer, and are already aware of West Ham’s desire to sign the 22-year-old.
The plan is to let him go for at least €20m, and A Bola points out that this isn’t a huge amount for English clubs.
Jovane Cabral is another product of Sporting’s academy, and started being used more regularly in the past couple of years.
Despite struggling with injuries at the start of the current season, he ended up impressing during the final stretch, finishing the league with six goals and three assists in 16 appearances for the Lions.
Due to his age, A Bola believes that besides the €20m, Sporting will also ask for a percentage of a future transfer.

Lanzini linked with Turkish interest
Manuel Lanzini has reported interest from Turkey with Turkish website FotoMac claiming Turkish club Fenerbahçe are closely following his developments and will soon make a formal enquirt about his availability this summer.
Lanzini was linked with a move to Super Lig outfit Besiktas in 2014 before his eventual move to West Ham with Galatasaray and Trabzonspor both previously interested.
Lanzini signed for the Hammers on a season-long loan from Al Jazira later making the transfer permanet for a transfer fee of £10.8m. In July 2016 the Argentine player signed a four-year contract with a clause for another two years for a reported £35,000 per week.
In 2018 sufferieda ruptured anterior knee ligament injury in training for Argentina in the World Cup training camp.
In 2019 the club announced Lanzini had put pen to paper on a bumper deal until 30 June 2023, with the option of extending his stay at London Stadium for a further two years worth £100,000-per-week to the player.

Hopes rise for Haller partner deal
West Ham hasn’t given up hope of signing Seb Haller’s Eintracht Frankfurt strike partner Luka Jovic on loan from Real Madrid this summer. The Spanish club are looking to conduct a clear out over the next three or four weeks and are though ready to allow Jovic to move on loan or permanently.
Napoli were reportedly interested but have since ruled themselves out of the running for a player who – with Haller – formed a deadly partnership in the Bundesliga. The Irons had the chance of doing a loan deal for the striker in January but instead moved in on the highly successful Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek.
The Hammers have to be interested in making a move for the player on a loan arrangement for the season with an option to buy next year when hopefully finances have improved word wide.
Hopes of doing a deal remain very much alive as a result and it’s inevitable that some of the new arrivals will be loans this summer – let’s hope the 22 year is among them
